Technical Capabilities

From the first layout sketch to a running line — the engineering disciplines, testing routines and support system behind every OK turnkey project.

One-Stop Turnkey Engineering

OK is not an integrator that buys machines from others — we design, machine, assemble and test our own equipment, then connect it into complete end-of-line systems. Mechanical design, controls, tooling and software sit under one roof, so responsibility for the whole line stays in one pair of hands.

That structure matters most when something changes: a new carton format, a tighter cycle time, a factory layout that does not match the drawing. Our engineers iterate on the real line, not on a supplier ticket queue.

  • In-house machining, fabrication and assembly workshop
  • Full-cycle project ownership: study, design, build, FAT, SAT, training
  • Every machine test-run with your product type before shipment
  • Documentation pack for CE / UL export compliance

CORE CAPABILITY PILLARS

Six engineering disciplines that cover the full life of a packaging line — each one staffed by a dedicated team, not outsourced.

Mechanical Design & 3D Simulation

Frames, conveyors and guarding are modelled in 3D before a single plate is cut. Motion simulation validates cycle time and reach envelope, so layout problems are solved on screen instead of on your floor.

Robot Programming & Vision

Teach-pendant and offline programming, pallet-pattern libraries and vision-guided picking. Operators run the line from an HMI — no programming knowledge needed for daily format changes.

Electrical & Control Systems

PLC, HMI and safety circuits designed and wired in-house, with servo and VFD sizing matched to the real load. Cabinets are built to CE / UL practice and every I/O point is tested before dispatch.

Tooling & End-Effector Design

Vacuum, clamp and fork grippers engineered around your product — cartons, bags, trays, bundles and pails. Quick-change tooling lets one cell handle several formats without a rebuild.

Line Integration & Commissioning

We connect our machines to what already exists — erectors, sealers, checkweighers, case packers and WMS. Line balancing and interface handshakes are agreed in writing before production starts.

Training & Lifecycle Support

Hands-on operator and maintenance training at handover, spare-part kits sized to your line, remote diagnostics for software and alarms, and a clear upgrade path as your volumes grow.

HOW A PROJECT RUNS

The same five stages on every project — you always know what happens next, who is responsible, and what you will receive at each step.
1

Requirement Study

Product list, capacity target and workshop dimensions — we return a feasibility note within days.
2

Concept & 3D Layout

Layout drawing with cycle-time calculation, reach envelope and the operators needed after automation.
3

Detail Design

Mechanical, electrical and tooling design frozen and reviewed with your team before manufacturing.
4

Build & FAT

Assembly in our workshop, then a witnessed test — often with your own product samples — before shipment.
5

Install, SAT & Training

On-site installation and acceptance, operator training, and handover of drawings and documentation.

TESTED BEFORE IT LEAVES OUR FLOOR

Every machine runs a documented test programme in our workshop — witnessed or remote, with your product whenever possible.

✓
72-hour continuous running test
— full-speed operation to expose early-life component failures before they become your downtime.
✓
Cycle-time validation
— measured against the number quoted in the layout drawing, not a best-case demo.
✓
Full-pallet load & stability test
— stacked, wrapped and checked for lean, slip and compression behaviour.
✓
Safety & interlock verification
— guards, light curtains, e-stops and restart logic tested item by item.
✓
Packing & loading check
— machines are fixed, filmed and documented before container loading.
✓
Documentation pack
— electrical drawings, manuals, spare-part list and CE / UL compliance files at handover.
